NO KNEAD WHEAT BREAD….SUPER EASY AND SOFT.

NO KNEAD WHEAT BREAD RECIPE
SUPER EASY AND SOFT.

This has been my best and easiest bread bake so far.
Super easy, super soft and super spongy.
This no knead bread requires least of your energy and attention.

This is what you need:

Cup Size used
 200ml
Preparation/Proofing time
 4 hrs
Cook time
40 minutes

Ingredients:

3 cups flour
( i used 2 cups wheat flour and 1 cup all purpose flour. You may make it 50:50 too)
2 tsp active dry yeast
1  tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp sugar
Oil as needed.
2 1/2 cup warm water
1 Egg yolk for egg wash

How to prepare dough:

1.   Preheat the oven at 185°c.
2.   In a bowl combine flour , yeast, sugar and salt. Give it a nice mix.
3.   Add water and mix again with a wooden spoon or ladle.
4.   Add 2 tbsp oil and fold the dough. The dough at this stage is very sticky and loose. Don't worry but we need this much moisture in the flour at this stage.
5.   Let it rest covered at a warm place for at least 4-5 hours.( i covered it with a blanket and kept it in the cupboard for a good rise Delhi is very cold right now so it took 5 hours otherwise it should be done in an hour early.)
6.   After 5 hrs. the dough has should have risen nicely and doubled in size. It still is quite sticky and you'll need to dust your hands with flour to bring it together.
7.   At this stage put 1 tbsp. oil and a bit of flour to bring it together and make it into a sticky ball. Remember don't over flour as it'll make the dough dense and kill the moisture. Grease your 8″*5″ loaf pan with oil and transfer the dough into it and let it rest again covered with a kitchen towel for a second proofing for half an hour( in winters it may take 45 minutes) or till it rises a little above the edge of the pan.
8.   Just before baking egg wash the dough with one egg yolk mixed with a little water.
9.   Bake @185° c for 40 min or till done. As per your ovens working.Apply butter on top as soon as you take it out and let it cool completely.

10.                Slice it and enjoy the easiest n softest wheat bread…..!!!
